The top bar seems to have disappeared. Also I cannot see any of my labels anymore, meaning I have to manually label things now.

Wihout being rude I want to point out that this is becoming frustrating when for some or the other reasons things are breaking.

I thought about how to implement GTD over the last few weeks and it seems, I am coming to a better view of things now.

a) I want this kind of stuff available everywhere. This either means an installation of some sorts on my home-server or using public servers, like GMail, GCal, RTM and, as it crystalizes, Amazon S3 and Amazon SimpleDB. The last two ones for storage of all files, that belong to a project and to be able to create filtered lists of data. This also would mean, that the GMail inbox would be only one part of the inbox and the frontend would do the actual work (with the settings stored in the Amazon SimpleDB)

b) I want it to be integrated completely into my workflow. This would mean a Spicebird extension (a very big one)

c) but what do I do when on the road ? Think mobile phone? As I only use Linux smartphones, this would mean, that I have no chance to run any Mozilla code on it, at least not for the foreseeable future. Instead I could try to use the code from the Spicebird extension, actually make it as generic as possible, and then create a web-app, that I host on my web-server.

For now I will use GTDInbox, since I find it the most convenient. Very nice work. Thanks a lot!

Oh, do you know Mylar for Eclipse IDE ?

It may give you some inspiration for your "Better Email Quest" ;-)

Hi all!

@Ken - your problem doesn't sound like the multi-computer issue; but I think you've already taken to this to forum :)

@rs - the extension does autoupdate; but only for the versions sent to Mozilla. As Mozilla takes a while to approve, if we're developing rapidly or fixing bugs, I'll put them on the blog first where they have to be manually installed.

@.jon - it's compatible with BetterGmail2 (if you disable Folders4Gmail); and it's compatible with RTM, it just doesn't integrate (yet - it's on the list, but low priority). As for Spicebird, that would be a completely different extension -> but if someone else wants to take GTDInbox's ideas and implement it, that would be cool.

Have you tried to make it compatible with the BetterGmail2 extension ?
And what about Remember The Milk integration ?

Have you tried Spicebird, a Thunderbird fork with Outlook like behaviour (Calendar, RSS, etc.)

It would be nice to have an extension for Spicebird, that completely integrates GTD.

Hi,

could you provide autoupdate possibility for the extension? it is hard to update the extension manually on all the machines I use regularly..

thanks in advance

Running GTDInbox on 2 machines; the full label descriptors have disappeared, as has the contents of the Labels arrowup/arrowdown box at the top of an email.

This otherwise seems to be a fine product, but I wonder if there's a fix for this.

Or is it part of the "two-computer" conundrum?

Thanks,
